What Other Popular Workspaces Are There?

Coworking Spaces in Hoi An

Hoi An is about 25 kilometers from Da Nang, known for its lively old town and surrounding coconut forests. Outside this tourist hub, the other neighborhoods are much quieter than in Da Nang.

Digital nomads often visit Hoi A for a day trip or choose to stay longer if they prefer a smaller, more secluded town. The only dedicated coworking space in Hoi An is located just outside the center, overlooking vast rice fields.

At Hub Hoi An, members can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with different workspaces, ranging from traditional desks to hammock swings. Fully glassed-in focus rooms provide a distraction-free environment, while other areas allow conversations. A covered terrace offers additional seating, along with phone booths and communal spaces for meals and breaks.

Day passes are available, but during the high season, the space prioritizes monthly memberships to maintain its community even at full capacity. Since fewer digital nomads live in Hoi An, the coworking space serves as an essential social hub. A WhatsApp group is also available and actively used by members.

From March 21 to 28, 2025, Hoi An will host the second week of the Vietnam Nomad Fest, making it a great time to explore both the city and Hub Hoi An.

Working in Coffee Shops in Da Nang

Many digital nomads in Da Nang use the city’s numerous coffee shops for work. However, stable internet isn’t always guaranteed, and a real sense of community is rare. Another issue is leaving your laptop unattended during bathroom breaks—not because of locals, but more due to other tourists.

That said, a few cafés are well-suited for occasional work. Here are five where you’re likely to find other remote workers:

Bread & Butter Bakery & The Cups Coffee are two names for the same place, known for a variety of coffee, pastries, and bread specialties. If you love sweet breakfasts, this is the spot for you. For something healthier, fresh juices or coconut water are available, though the menu lacks truly nutritious meals.

With plenty of tables equipped with power outlets, the café attracts many laptop workers. It has 150 seats, offering both quiet corners for focused work and social spots for casual meetings. The decor resembles Western-style cafés but feels welcoming rather than formal—just as sweet as its cakes and croissants. Another advantage is its late closing time at 11 PM, which is rare in Da Nang.

The Root Planted Café is located in the busy Western Quarter and combines a comfortable work atmosphere with a menu of healthy, entirely vegan organic meals. Options include coffee, coconut water, fruit bowls, and light dishes.

The two-story café offers different work settings: the ground floor has a lively ambiance, while the upper floor is quieter. A balcony with street views provides additional seating, making it a great spot for combining breakfast with laptop work.

For those who just need good coffee and a workspace surrounded by water, XLIII Specialty Coffee  is a great choice. Other favorites among laptop workers include Gozar Coffee and Bamboo Bob.

A City in Constant Change

Da Nang is constantly growing, with many ongoing construction projects. However, this doesn’t necessarily disrupt the work or relaxation experience, as not every part of the city is affected. Some locations, however, may change rapidly. All information in this guide is based on March 2025.
